Research Question Libido

A research question that can be used to design an experiment can be “What factors influence libido?” The question has more than one variable that can help to determine an outcome of the experiment. The variables can be used, in the main experiment, to manipulate the experiment results. The question can involve the population that is sexually active. The experiment will involve other factors apart from Viagra which is widely known factor to influence libido. This can include the factors that influence individual participants in the experiment. The factors can be age, medications that suppress medication like antidepressants, and the problem of the sexual partners. These dependent variables can be measured against the independent variables that influence libido. The dependent variable is taken as the outcome of the experiment. The independent variables can also be used to affect the outcome of the experiment. This will help in getting the casual relationship between the variables in the experiment.

Biased Survey

A biased question in a survey can result into a misrepresentation in a given direction that is being measured. This happens due to the way the question is presented to the respondents. The question is asked in a way that influences the respondent’s response according to the researchers wish. Example of a biased question is “Are you participating in the elections, even though the latest opinion polls indicate they are already rigged” The survey question will make many respondents say “No” since most of them would not want to take part in already rigged elections. The outcome of such survey question can invalidate the responses and hence result into a biased response that suits the researcher’s objective. The question is interpreted wrongly by most people, and the result is that most will not participate in the elections. The survey can be biased if the outcome includes the anonymity of the respondent, place of survey, time, and the question being open-ended.
