The meaning of the word “exile” is explained as expelling from home or country by authority. All this started at the beginning, notably when Adam and Eve were sent out of the Garden of Eden; it was a form of punishment for their sins. In the case of Isaac’s son Esau and Jacob who were a hunter and a shepherd respectively, exile was a measure of their safety; the same was the case of Lot and his daughters. Joseph and Mary had to seek refuge in a foreign land trying to save Baby Jesus. The major exile that ever took place is recorded in the book of Exodus, when Moses led Israelites to the land of milk and honey (food security), away from the Egyptian oppression.

Holocaust is the act of mass murder of Jews under the German Nazi regime from 1941 to 1945, which has led to their immigration to Israel, the U.S and to other countries. Because of this Jews felt deserted and neglected by the omnipresent God. They understood that they needed to pray and find all the answers with a help of prayers The Jews wanted God to answer to His people. Moreover, this led the Jews to change their faith from Judaism to Hinduism. Some people considered the issue of the holocaust as a test for their faith and even wanted to be persecuted for the good of Judaism. Finally, the Jews also felt as though there was a breach in the covenant with God because the persecution was against the conditions of the covenant. By the way, the Ten Commandments were forms of agreement, which stated that Jews were to live in peace and harmony with the gentiles.
